Celebrating Dance through Performance and Education

MISSION | Fuzión Dance Artists is a contemporary modern dance company that fuses various dance forms while collaborating with artists and serving communities through educational programming and performances.

"A heart at peace gives life to the body…" (Proverbs 14:30)

HISTORY | Leymis Bolaños Wilmott and Rachael Inman began working together in Florida State University’s graduate program in 2000. Not only did the two share an Arabic heritage, most importantly, they shared a vision to collaborate, create and celebrate through life experiences. They both spent time developing programming for the FSUdanceSARASOTA initiative, and Wilmott decided to establish roots in the area. In 2005, they decided to incorporate and subsequently, form a non-profit organization. The two collaborate with professional artists within their respective communities to inform and expose audiences to various dance genres through a contemporary approach. As they choreograph and instruct, Wilmott and Inman aim to cultivate audiences and provide a safe environment for the expression of ideas for participants.
