Educational
Component Fuzión Dance Artists provide various
outreach and educational programs to populations of all ages,
abilities, and backgrounds through community dance classes, specialized
workshops, residency opportunities and performances. Dance Classes Usually consist of 60 – 90min, movement class
ranging in levels and techniques.
Fuzión -
Introduces dance techniques and style where you will invert/ revert,
gyrate/ isolate articulate/ undulate while pulsating to various world
beats
Afro-Modern I - Fuses modern dance technique with Caribbean dance vocabulary
Afro-Modern II - Fuses modern dance
technique with Middle Eastern dance
Intro to Aerial - Class is taught with or without
technical aerial equipment with emphasis on release technique

Learn choreography from the Fuzión Dance

Body- kit -
Introduces conditioning exercises based on the Pilates method
Ballet -
Contemporary, revised "Vaganova-based"
technique
Partnering -
Explores sharing weight, lifts, and choreography for a duet or group
work
Improvisation - Encourages individuals to explore their own dancing voice

Integrated - Specialized class for individuals of all ages, gender,
or abilities
Workshops The Red Tent- a
multi - generational experience celebrating the feminine spirit. If you are a woman seeking a
healthier mind-body connection, a greater sense of internal freedom and
a new way to move past issues, we invite you to join us in the Red
Tent--a sacred place of warmth, understanding and empowerment. This is a unique experience in which
to reclaim our bodies and identity through various dance therapy
techniques and dialogue. This is
part of a process in which to find unity in mind, body, and spirit
Girl Power - A dance celebration that
highlights the uniqueness and strengths of being a young girl in
today’s society.
Dance in Motion - Teaches individuals to use
dance as a catalyst for community building and social change
Residency A residency is a week or longer of intensive study and
participation focusing on the concepts and ideas presented in the dance
classes and workshops. Residencies are taught the Founders/ Artistic
Directors and some company member(s). Each residency is tailored to the
dance needs of the host presenter.
Performance
The company is available for informal and formal performances in schools, community centers and theaters. These performances are anywhere from a guest appearance presentation of one piece of repertory to a 50 minute dance presentation followed by a question and answer session with directors and company members.
